HARVEST CALENDAR | ||
| The table above shows when our produce is being harvested. All vegies have a suitable growing season which varies right across the country. As part of managing our crops organically we always grow our vegies in season. | ||
WHERE TO BUY OUR PRODUCE | ||
| Our vegies go all around Australia with some also being exported. Below is a list of the various types of outlets that stock our produce. If you are not sure just ask your shopkeepers if they have vegies from Bauer’s Organic Farm at that particular time. We sell directly to the organic wholesalers in each state and the produce is distributed from there, out to the various shops. We supply about 20 wholesale outlets who in turn supply literally hundreds of different retailers. We also sell directly to the supermarkets. | ||

| ORGANIC SHOPS, HEALTH FOOD STORES AND CONVENTIONAL GREEN GROCERS: There are new shops opening all the time. For the most up to date list of shops go to the Biological Farmers of Australia website: www.bfa.com.au and click on CONSUMERS and then Where To Buy Organic Produce. Some conventional shops have a little organic corner. Some organic shops are even certified organic themselves so you can shop with confidence. | ||
| HOME DELIVERY: There are also retailers who specialise in delivering certified organic food right to your door. Some of them are also certified organic. Order by phone, fax, internet, or with your local distributor. They usually have an amazingly good product range. | ||
| SUPERMARKETS: Some of the supermarkets have obtained organic certification as well. They stock a number of our lines, in season. Responding to public demand for organic produce, they are stocking more lines all the time. | ||
| FARMERS MARKETS AND ORGANIC MARKETS: At markets you can buy all sorts of things and, if displaying the logo the product will be Certified Organic. Some of our produce ends up at weekend markets all over the country. It’s a fun way to get fresh produce if you live nearby. A real healthy family outing ... kids and dogs love it! |
